Guildmember's HW Scenarios

Clash of Arms by Tim Brown

3 March, 1945 [Play as Allies] As the tide of the initial onslaught was slowed by the desperate defense of the Western Allies, the heavier Soviet units began to catch up with the faster moving first wave. The Soviet command decided to use these units to punch through the ever stiffening Western resistance. Meanwhile the Western Allies were still scrambling to pull together a cohesive front line. In early March, near the Belgian border, British scout cars kept watch on the vital roads heading West. As intelligence reports warned of the coming storm, freshly arrived US engineers and heavy armour were sent to hold the line. Previous months of huge Allied effort in Germany's devastated industrial centres had also born fruit, allowing limited re-equipping of some of the former SS units. Bit by bit, but with some semblance of their former might, these units rushed to join their new allies.

At All Cost by Tim Brown

12 April, 1945 [Play as Allies] Attempting to deny access to the Baltic ports, the Allies had hastily reinforced scattered US Task Forces with whatever was available. One such reinforcement was provided by gathering some ship-based Royal Marine Commando units. Bolstered by some much needed anti-tank and artillery attachments, the Commandos quickly moved inland and began to dig in next to positions held by US armored infantry and some recently arrived tank support. With orders to hold 'at all cost' until the ports could be fortified, they didn't have to wait long before the sound of approaching tank engines filled the air. Unleashing a massive attack force, the Soviet command had ordered a quick breakthrough, to be achieved 'at all cost'. A bloody day's fighting lay ahead.

Omaha East

This is the original scenario from WF but changed to give the attacking Americans tracked LVT4's for landing craft. This allows them to drive up onto the beach and avoid that long walk through German gunfire. To quote Sean Ward, who's idea this scenario is, "The CO of the 7th division was brought over from the Pacific and recommended using them and was ignored. What a difference they would have made on Omaha !" This is your chance to see if it would have made a difference!

Onslaught by Tony Sides

24 February, 1945 Onslaught: (Hypothetical. Best played against a human player). The Russian forces made it through Germany to the Belgian border. One under strength American and one British infantry battalions are dug-in waiting for the onslaught. As the battle is engaged, the overwhelming Russian armor and artillery seem unstoppable. The situation is looking bleak indeed for the beleaguered defenders when to their delight reinforcements arrive. It is the hastily assembled Fahrfernugen Battalion that collected the few available wonder weapon prototypes directly from the bombed out factories. Can the handful of German Maus, Panther II, and JgdPz VI stem the tide?

Crisis on the Hohenplatz by Richard A. Seibert II

No scenario description available. This is a battle in a heavily wooded, lakes area. It is an interesting hunting exercise with clear and obstructed fields of fire.
